The corner bakery grew up in the neighborhood. Malibu kitchens bakery grew up in the heart of Malibu. Widely regarded as one of the best bakeries in LA. & in Malibu you soon realize after opening the creaky screen door  you’ve entered this quaint country market. With the smells of the freshly baked pastry, scones & muffins wafting around the bakery counter it’s obvious “you are not in Kansas anymore” expecting to see your grandma coming out of the kitchen with a tray of steaming cinnamon rolls or a giant mixed berry crumble pie. The counter is filled everyday with fresh sticky buns, muffins, scones, cakes, pies, their scrumptious old fashioned crumb cake is to die for. And its very likely you’ll see a few kids noses pressed up against the old fashioned cupcake case.  A must try is their gigantic bear claw, which sells out early every morning.

And then there’s the 10 foot vintage French farm table filled with baskets of freshly baked thin & crispy chocolate chip cookies, (the best we’ve ever had & their best seller)

Chubby chewy chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, oatmeal chocolate chip, chocolate peanut butter & their award winning Mexican wedding cookies, to name just a few. It’s impossible to leave the bakery section without considering at least a dozen goodies. (ha) Walking into Malibu kitchens bakery is like entering the gates of heaven, if heaven was filled with baked goods.
