About Malibu Kitchen
Malibu Kitchen is an oasis of east coast charm. Greeted by the antique Coca Cola sign and the creaky screen door you are transported to what Bill Miller its founder & chief tastemaker grew up with in New York. A former music tour manager & music production company executive he travelled all over the world collecting menus & recipes from many of the restaurants he had eaten in while on tour. Bill's passion for cooking was realized every Sunday at his home in Sagaponack, N.Y. when he would invite many of his friends for breakfast, lunch & dinner. After many years on the road & feeding his friends for free, It was time to realize his dream. Malibu Kitchen was born.
From the sprawling porch to the old fashioned candy counter, cubby shelves filled with rare cookie jars and the constant backdrop of a music playlist that delights customers while shopping, you are surrounded by old fashioned deli cases, bakery shelves filled with savory pastries, breads, cakes, scones, cupcakes and more, all made in the MK kitchen daily.
Malibu Kitchen open in 2000 and over 22 years it’s sandwiches & pastries have been voted the best in L.A year after year .
The pulled pork on a warmed rustic roll with coleslaw has been reviewed many times that it outshines most BBQ spots in L.A. Their very famous signature “Better than Mom’s Meatloaf” sandwich & the N.Y. Reuben are legendary. Phill Rosenthal of “Somebody Feed Phill” fame loves the fresh turkey brie & cranberry sandwich so much, it was named ‘The Phill”. The choices of sandwiches, fresh salads, deli meats , cheeses & hard to find speciality items are endless….
Today, in the heart of Malibu their devoted followers gather from all over the world to experience the celebrated food, the very famous porch, the music & the weekend car culture. Proof that the legacy of Malibu Kitchen will live on for many years to come.
